Bath in Fashion 2016
This is my 5th season styling catwalk shows at Bath in Fashion and in a few short years it's grown into an international event without loosing any of the charm that Bath has to offer!  There are over 50 events happening from May 18th-24th. I'm so excited about the talk with author Ben Wild, “A Life in Fashion: The Wardrobe of Cecil Beaton†and photographer Tim Walker! There's also a talk with editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar, Justine Picardie that I'd quite like to attend plus a masterclass about wearable tech with John Weir, Bath-based Chief Executive of the Wearable Technology Show with Francesca and Ryan of CuteCircuit.For all the events please visit Bath in Fashion

CATWALK SHOWS: The Bath in Fashion catwalks are always stunning, each show has over 100 SS16 looks from selected Bath boutiques and fashion stores. The shows take place in the historic and beautiful Assembly Rooms.DESGINER JULIEN MACDONALD: will be talking about his career in fashion. Named British Fashion Designer of the Year in 2011, Julien MacDonald was appointed as creative director for Givenchy as the successor to Alexander MCQueen before starting his own couture collection in 2013 and designing a range for Debenhams. His creations are favoured by red carpet celebrities including Beyoncé, Cheryl, Taylor Swift and Jessie J.LOCAL BATH DESGINER JOE RICHARDS is a new name to look out for. Richards will discuss his latest collection which was inspired by the archives of Morris & Co and was the first designer to ever be granted access to their archives. Richards, who is also Bath Spa University's Designer in Residence, will be in conversation with Kate Finnigan, Fashion Features Director of the Telegraph.VOGUE 100: Bath in Fashion celebrates Vogue's Centenary by sharing their coverage of two fabulous designers – Versace & Valentino at the new Gainsborough Hotel. Don't miss "Vogue On Gianni Versace "by Charlotte Sinclair and "Vogue On Valentino" by Drusilla Beyfus and meet Iain R Webb who create the Vogue Colouring Book in Anthropologie – come along and colour in a giant colouring wall.POMP AND CIRCUMSTANCE: On the day of the Queens 90th birthday, author Michael Pick explores the skill of three famous British Designers, Hardy Amies, Norman Hartnell and Ian Thomas who created her evolving style. "The Queens attitude is that she must always dress for the occasion", according to Hardy Amies one of her favourite designers.
NAUTICAL NARRATIVE: Bath in Fashion gets nautical with Sophie Chadwick, co-founder and senior print designer of West Country brand, Seasalt who will be chatting to Fashion Features Director of Red Magazine. Join these two fashion leaders as they discuss their journey and success in the industryWEARABLE TECHONOLOGY MASTERCLASS: John Weir, Bath-based Chief Executive of the Wearable Technology Show will meet experts to discuss the interface between the fashion industry and advances in technology and how these exciting developments will impact the way we look, feel and function in fashion of the future. Special guests, CuteCircuit are pioneers in the field of Wearable Technology.
CINEMA STYLE: The Little Theatre Cinema will once again be celebrating Bath in Fashion on Film; watch the iconic Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's and Bath-based fashion writer Iain R Webb has chosen one of his all-time favourite films to introduce – Eyes of Laura Mars – in which Faye Dunaway plays a successful fashion photographer who is able to see through the eyes of a serial killer. Finally "In The Mood For Love" where cinematography and costume design combine in a ravishing drama will be introduced by Editor in Chief of Red Magazine, Sarah Bailey.NICHOLAS OAKWELL HAS THE X FACTOR: Come to see the famous red dress that Cheryl Cole wore in the X Factor final and meet the designer Nicholas Oakwell in conversation with one of the UK's most passionate fashion journalists; Hilary Alexander.LIBERTY – THE FABRIC OF FASHION: Liberty was at the heart of the 20th century's most exciting period in British design. Cleo and Mark Butterfield, owners of the C20 Vintage Fashion Archive used for the recent Liberty in Fashion exhibition at London's Fashion and Textile Museum are experts on Liberty and will explore how Liberty's prints encapsulated 60's radicalism and 70's wearable art.
