Eastpak Pop Up Shop Designer Auction

There are always new pop up shops in my neighbourhood and the most recent one is by Eastpak. It's on Commercial Street, near The Commercial Tavern and is open until the 29th of December. The shop is more like a gallery with a cafe.  I've always had mixed feelings about backpacks - in my head they're for hikers. I know they're practical and it would be a great way to carry my laptop, but usually I think they're ugly and a bit boring...but the ones on display at Eastpak were great!Eastpak are featuring their fourth annual Artist Studio collection from designers including Christopher Shannon, Jean Paul Gaultier and Manolo Blahnik. Sixteen designers were given free rein to make a backpack into a work of art. All the bags are functional but also quite fun - not boring at all - and cute!  The bags are being auctioned off, starting at $100USD and all proceeds will be donated to the charity organization Designers Against Aids.
