Styling for Paul Costelloe SS15
I like working with Paul Costelloe as it really is a family business and somehow that makes a difference: it's not surprising that one expects something happy and beautiful at a Paul Costelloe show. The fashion show was held at the prestigious Simpson on the Strand, 2 minutes away from Somerset House. The music was happy and playful and included Perry Como's Catch a Falling Star, truly setting the tone of the show. This season Paul returned to the catwalk with inspirations from the far east mixed with his signature style including empire-line dresses in cocoon silhouette, cropped jackets with short skirts and shorts and trench coats in jacquards and metallics fabrics. The colours were in all shades of blue, soft metallic with injections of bright green and orange. The collection, called Angels in the Fields, had 60's inspirations with dewy fresh skin and a sightly disheveled and unstructured beehive with lots of volume worn with little black bows. We had chunky shoes and socks for a hint of attitude. After the catwalk show there was a champagne reception where everyone had an opportunity to talk to Paul and take pictures of the models.
