Backstage at Bath in Fashion Catwalk show
In just four years Bath in Fashion has become a very successful and popular event. The catwalk shows are always sold out. This season I had over 200 looks for one of the fashion shows so we had a very busy backstage but fortunately I had a great team as all my dressers were second year fashion students from Bath Spa. It was quite intense and the models had quite a few changes but we were very well organized as I'd been prepping for weeks in advance. I work with over 50 retailers to prepare the shows. I go to Bath often to visit each retailer several times to make sure they have what they need to prepare for the show. This season we had quite a few accessory designers participating in the show including British made handbags from Liz Cox to luxury jewellery by Nicholas Wylde.
The fashion shows took place in the Bath Assembly Rooms, which were completed in 1771 and were the heart of fashionable Georgian society - it's the perfect setting for a catwalk show.
