Lime Crime Cosmetics

Last week on a not so sunny day in Brooklyn I had the pleasure of lunching with Lime Crime cosmetics president and CEO  Doe Deere and Vice President, Mark Dumbelton at an adorable little Polish restaurant called Lomzyniaka ( a tasty destination spot for those visiting the Greenpoint/Williamsburg area of Brooklyn). Over the most delicious blueberry blintz's I've ever consumed and giant home made perogies, I learned all about the avant-garde and totally fabulous Lime Crime cosmetics line. Doe and Mark originally collaborated as part of a band. Doe who was also a fashion student at NY's prestigious F. I. T. was finding that her normal makeup wasn't powerful enough for the stage lighting and the pay off of the product couldn't stand up to her colourful style. And so Lime Crime cosmetics was born!

Everything from the unicorn purple glitter packaging to the full on wow colours screams fun. It's a makeup line that doesn't take itself too seriously. It's quickly becoming a huge celebrity favourite. Singer MIA wore lipstick My Beautiful Rocker in one of her videos recently & Cat Deeley is a huge fan of the lipstick-Retro Futurist, a stunning bright red.
