The Icelantic Hatter: Thelma Bjork

CIMG0026.JPGI recently went to Iceland, where I met up with Icelandic fashion designer Thelma Bjork. She makes embellished headbands, and I love them! I'm a bit intimidated by the hat, but the headband I have no issues with: somehow it's easier, less of a commitment than a hat but it makes an equal statement! While she specializes in handmade headpieces with embroidery, Thelma also works with knit and crochet. She first learned needlework from her grandmother when she was just eight years old, and hasn't stopped sewing since! Thelma studied at the prestigious Ecole Lesage (atelier de broderie) in Paris, where she now lives. She sells in Japan, Sweden, Iceland, Italy, London and Le Bon Marche in Paris.Thelma Bjork HeadpieceThelma Bjork headpieceThelma Bjork headpiece
